Not So Blending In

"Why blend in when you can stand out?" That's always my rule of thumb and motto when going through my closet to put my daily outfits together. Clearly by following along with me and my daily (outfit) adventures, you can easily see that I never like to be "typical" or "normal" with what I put together-- there needs to be some flare, some twist, and something that makes it different. And today's look is one of my favorites of that concept because I love the juxtaposition that's created with the ensemble. Wearing black pants and a black v-neck (which are my two go to items always) and layering the look with an army jacket which is supposed to typically represent camouflaging and blending in, I decided to flip today's outfit on its head (literally) by adding something out of the ordinary to an already typically cute Fall ensemble. Debating if it was "just too much" wearing a floral daisy mouse ear headpiece, once I put the outfit all together, I instantly felt right at home and very Lainey. And to me, this screamed the most perfect Fall outfit ever.
