Post Labor Day Whites

I for one love getting into themes, especially when it involves my full wardrobe attention and focus. So as the old saying goes "you can't wear white after Labor Day", you sure can bet that I was trying to pack in every white on white on white themed outfit I could before this past weekend was up. But to be honest, once Labor Day passes, I kind of let that old saying go and wear whatever I want... which will probably include a head to toe white outfit (throw in a beanie or a fur vest to make it more wintery). And really, why shouldn't you? As my favorite self-created personal motto goes "be what you want, wear what you want." And that definitely includes wearing some white in the winter. And as Drake's famous saying goes #YOLO.

A Classical Twist

Today's feature is not only someone who is my latest inspiration, but also one that is my latest obsession! With a boho grunge meets feminine yet rocker look, Mollie made me fall in love with her beyond amazing style and adorable personality from the second I met her. A lover of fashion and trends just like the next girl, what sets Mollie apart is how she doesn't fall into the grind of trendy designers, standard outfits, and obvious looks. Quickly getting tired of trends that become so been-there-done-that after a week, Mollie puts a little twist to her style by creating some not so typical looks that you end up thinking to yourself, "why didn't I ever come up with that?". With today's too cute of an outfit that I need to replicate in my own wardrobe  ASAP, Mollie knows how to pair the obvious with the unobvious like this fab Brandy Melville dress with some Steve Madden rocker studded combat boots and a hint of a gold choker necklace. Getting her fashion inspirations from everything from street style to people like Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr,  Mollie's style is anything but typical and ordinary, resulting in continually giving inspiration, one outfit at a time.

Keepin Cool In Lace

Outfit 1 Sorry it's been a hot sec since I've last posted, things have been super hectic on my side of the world. But wanting to keep you Fashionlainers in the loop with all things going on, today's post is bringing you (and me) back in action and with one of my favorite materials-- lace! Today's outfit was inspired by getting ready for a cute brunch. Wanting to dress up, stay cool (since it's so hot) and wear comfy shoes (because my feet were not feeling a heels kinda day), this breezy lace crop top along with this long royal blue skirt with slits (that I'm obsessed with) were perfect for the situation. Because who can't get enough of a crop top- long skirt combo?! Pairing them up with some cute white studded sandals and the perfect lace headband that tied in so well and looks like it was made for the top, brunch was definitely handled, Fashionlaine style.
