It's finally December! Aka my all-time favorite month of the whole year. Everyone that knows me knows that I live for the holidays-- counting down the days to which I can make my world famous gingerbread cookies, listen to KOST 103.5's dedicated Christmas station all month long while sipping on my Starbucks red cup, and partake in any and every activity that has to do with the holidays (I've already handled two Christmas lighting ceremonies under my belt). So of course, as I get into the holiday spirit, that first and foremost obviously has to go for my outfits too with the most necessary holiday fashion. Channeling my inner Jenny Humphrey meets Blair Waldorf in today's look where I switched out my typical headbands for a cute bow, and paired it with a diamond collar necklace and my fave Party Skirts, this outfit can easily be transferred from a casual day outing to an evening holiday party.
I get really excited when I figure out epic outfits that I can put together that are super fun and colorful. My go-to colors tend to be the typical black and white and so I make it a focused effort and challenge to myself to work on trying to step outside of my standard color palette comfort zone. Being obsessed this fall with a good skater skirt and trying to get in as many of them in my wardrobe as possible, I got excited when I came across this line called Skot that had fun and bright colors and styles. Skater skirts are super fun and useful because they are so diverse and can be dressed up or down depending on how you're feeling with anything from crop tops to oversized sweaters. Deciding to go all out in my color ventures in today's look with a green plaid shirt and yellow neon highlights, I think it's safe to say that today I brought color back in a big way.
