Snowboarder's Paradise

I am by no means a skier or snowboarder. I've never gone "down a slope" even once in my life. Probably because I'm epicly afraid and can foresee myself instantly falling and breaking apart of me if I attempted to even try. But of course, when in a snow town like Park City for Sundance, how could one even think about no dressing up in theme of the snow and the slopes? And so, that's exactly what I did. It must've been me living out my dreams of doing the closest thing I could to snowboarding by dressing the part-- but honestly, how could you not go all out when you have a customized beanie with your name on it?!

Fashionable Winter Clothes

A few weeks back I headed to one of my favorite places and one of my favorite times of the year-- Park City and Sundance. There were a lot of hurdles in my way en route to Park City as I missed my connecting flight to Salt Lake and was stranded in a few airports for a few hours. But as can be predicted, my most stressful and pressing issue of all was... what was I going to wear? Not equipped with my typical savvy winter attire this time as we had been cruising  in a summerlike winter in LA for quite some months now, I was luckily able to pull some things together like today's post which was definitely one of my favorite winter outfits of the week. Pairing a long skirt in the snow which I had never done (obviously with tights underneath), a cute bow turban headband, and the ultimate sweater with a F on it making me feel like a fashion Superman, I became my own fashion superhero, fighting the challenges and battles of winter gear and ensembles-- one day at a time.

Colors Of The Wind

This final Sundance outfit was inspired by my interest of pulling in colors. It's so easy to get sucked into the same greys, blues, and blacks to takeover your winter outfit, but I was determined to mix it up and bring some color into this wintery town and wonderful area of Main Street. My "navajo" jacket as I call it was my starting point. When I first purchased this, I thought the pattern was super out there and difficult to work with, but it has turned out to be my ultimate go-to winter jacket to keep me warm yet stylish all at the same time. From there, my newly purchased ruby red turban alongside by red leg warmers were able to perfectly tie it all in together and bring out the red in my jacket. Of course, the last decision was left to the pants. I had brought so many options (naturally) and was extremely close to pulling out the typical and standard blacks. But then I decided to switch it up completely and go with my favorite bright hot purple leggings (... I'm pretty sure I was probably the only one in that whole city that wore leggings as actual forms of pants... but have no fear I doubled up in layers). While I was extremely nervous about my attempts to formulate a color-filled outfit with some unique and out-there colors, I have to say that this probably ended up being one of my all-time favorite winter looks of the week.
